Welcome to Whitley Bay Cricket Club, an inclusive community club dedicated to promoting cricket for all ages and skill levels. Join us in fostering a love for the game and building a strong community spirit.

Our Journey and Purpose

Whitley Bay Cricket Club was founded in 1926, evolving to promote cricket in our community. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment for all, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.

We have been dedicated to inclusivity and community engagement, ensuring that cricket is accessible to everyone, regardless of age or skill level.
4 Teams

Currently, we operate 2 Saturday Teams in the Northumberland and Tyneside Cricket League, a Sunday Friendly Team, and a Midweek Team. 

Our junior teams include Under 11, Under 13, and Under 15 categories.

2025
In 2025, we will launch our Women’s team and Junior Girls section, further enhancing our commitment to inclusivity in cricket.

Bilash Indian Restaurant

One of the finest Curry houses at the coast. The Bilash have been our Club Sponsor for the past 3 years and this year are our main sponsor on the Junior strips.

Terry O'Sullivan Accountants

A new sponsor this year. Terry, a cricket lover, stepped into be co-sponsor of the Junior strips alongside Bilash and Northern Survey.

Northern Survey

A local based company specialising in all things to do with surveying homes. Michael, one of the Junior coaches, will be more than happy to help with anything property wise.
